Moncey Avocats welcomes Pierre-Alain Bouhénic and his team to develop the Restructuring practice

 

Driven by the aim of providing a comprehensive and high-level equity capital offering to its clients, Moncey Avocats is strengthening its team with the arrival of experienced and recognized restructuring partner Pierre-Alain Bouhénic, Thibaut Lefort, Counsel, and Louis Gibon, Lawyer.

Pierre-Alain Bouhénic has a recognized experience in restructuring. As a specialist in corporate turnarounds operations and restructurings, he advises his clients particularly in the context of preventive procedures and distressed M&A. Recently, he has been involved in several high-profile cases such as Presstalis (with the magazine distribution cooperative), Eloane (with Hivest Capital Partners), Gascogne (with the consortium consisting of Biolandes Technologies, DRT, BPI and Crédit Agricole), Ymagis or Maranatha.

He assists French and foreign corporate clients, including groups of companies, listed companies, mid-cap companies, investment funds and turnaround funds. His clients know they can count on Pierre-Alain Bouhénic and his team's tailor-made service and on the creativity of the proposed solutions. Pierre-Alain Bouhénic and his team approach cases with a very operational logic of the solution to bring the best legal outcome.

Less than two years after its creation, Moncey Avocats now brings together 7 partners (Frédéric Pinet, Guillaume Giuliani, David Malamed, Frédéric Bosc, Marie-Victoire James, Philippe Lauzeral and Pierre-Alain Bouhénic) and about twenty associates.

About the team

Pierre-Alain Bouhénic is a member of the Paris Bar since 1994. He started his career at Orrick Rambaud Martel in 1994. He became a partner at Weil Gotshal in 2001. Then, he participated in the creation of the law firm Frieh Bouhénic before it joined DLA Piper. And in 2018, Pierre-Alain Bouhénic joined Brown Rudnick (which closed its Paris office in 2022). He then created his own boutique firm, Bouhénic & Associés, with the ambition to create an equity capital platform, a platform that he finds at Moncey led by a team of experienced lawyers.

Pierre-Alain Bouhénic is recognized for his expertise and is ranked in various French and international guides such as Chambers & Partners.

He joins Moncey Avocats with his two associates: Thibaut Lefort and Louis Gibon.

Thibaut Lefort holds a Master 2 in Business Law from Aix-Marseille University. He started his career at Pinsent Masons (2015-2019). He then joined Bird & Bird (2019-2020), then Brown Rudnick (2020-2022). He joined Moncey Avocats in January 2023, as a Counsel.

Louis Gibon holds a Master 2 in Business Law from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne and an LLM from UCLA. He is a member of the Paris and New York Bars. After 3 years at Brown Rudnick (2019-2022), he joins Moncey Avocats in January 2023.
