Moncey Avocats advises Cerea Partners on its acquisition of a stake in Sophie Lebreuilly bakeries

Moncey Avocats has advised Cerea Partners, an investor-partner of companies in the agri-food sector, on its acquisition of a stake in the capital of boulangeries Sophie Lebreuilly, a network of bakeries in northern France generating sales of €70m.

Founded in 2014, Sophie Lebreuilly has rapidly established itself as a major player in the French artisan bakery market, with 80 shops today. This deal marks a new stage for Sophie Lebreuilly, who has been owned by FrenchFood Capital for four years.

The arrival of Cerea Partners in the capital is part of an ambitious growth strategy: the aim is to exceed 100 bakeries by the end of 2025, and to reach 500 sales outlets by 2030.

Cerea Partners was advised by a team from Moncey Avocats comprising :

  • Guillaume Giuliani and Marie-Victoire James, partners, Alexandre Bankowski, counsel, Alix Auclair and Clara Berland, corporate lawyers.
  • Frédéric Bosc, partner, Mathilde Cotillon and Margot Bosc, lawyers, on the tax aspects.
  • Camille Cournot, partner, and Anne-Sophie Laird, associate, on employment law issues.
